Accounts Assistant – Blackburn
Salary: £25,000 per annum pro rata
Job Type: Part-time (around school hours or 4 days a week) initially a maternity cover with the potential to become permanent.
Location: Blackburn
We’re recruiting for an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to join a respected legal firm based in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and professional finance team within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and issue cancellation invoices and send reminders to case handlers Post invoices accurately on Xero Assist with After the Event (ATE) insurance reports Handle ad-hoc ordering (fruit, cleaning supplies, stationery, etc.) Assist with bank reconciliations Support with the aged payable report and payment run
About You:
Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar role Working knowledge of Xero (preferred) Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills Confident communicator and strong team player Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
